Yesteryear Collection - Acorn Storage

The (Y30-1) 1920 Mack Truck AC was first released in 1985 in the blue livery of Acorn Storage Co.box.

Livery: (Tampo)
'ACORN STORAGE CO.' and 'PACKING AND SHIPPING' in white on both sides of truck.
'LOCAL AND LONG DISTANCE MOVING' and 'WAREHOUSE 304-306 W. 48TH STREET, MANHATTAN' in gold on both sides of truck.
An acorn in brown, gold and white within white oval on both sides of truck.
All above within gold coachlines.

Variations/Rarities: The basic colour scheme has been found in three blue tones.
Early versions were generally a lighter shade of blue and usually don't have the windscreen securing brace on the inside of the cab roof and come with dark blue front wings. These can be found with gold or light gold tampo.
Later issues were a darker blue with dark grey front wings and will usually have the windscreen securing brace. These versions can be found with a 1984 or 1985 made in England baseplate.
The final version was made in Macau and has a 1985 dated made in Macau baseplate and slightly lighter blue in shade. The cab is pale grey and the container roof is charcoal grey.

Interesting Facts: The 'Consolidated' model was fitted with a windscreen component and a small lug was cast on the underside of the cab roof against which the top of the windscreen was located. This tool modification meant that all subsequent issues of the Mack truck, including later issues of the 'Acorn' had this lug.

Total production was 60.000.
